Easter is just around the corner, and here’s an idea for a meaningful, non-candy item to include in those Easter baskets…

Scripture Music for Kids: Hide ’em in Your Heart

This set of two CD’s has been a big hit at our house.  We’ve listened to them for years, since Older Brother (7) was about two.  As a result, we’ve all memorized quite a few Bible verses.

I must admit my skepticism when I first heard of these CD’s–how could anyone make Bible verses sound catchy?  I was pretty sure they’d be lame, but due to my high regard for the individual who recommended them, I went out on a limb….and was pleasantly surprised!

A few of the more gentle tunes have become standard bedtime songs–Little Brother especially loves When I Am Afraid and You Knit Me Together when he’s feeling scared at night.  Some of the more upbeat melodies make great marching or dancing songs.  For years, Older Brother just had to march around the house whenever The Fruit of the Spirit came on–now Little Brother is carrying on the tradition.

If you’re looking for an easy way to add more Scripture memory to your family’s life, or you’re simply looking for meaningful music for kids, I highly recommend this set of Hide ’em in Your Heart CD’s.

And by the way, I’ve also heard really good things about the whole series of Seeds Family Worship CD’s.

Hide ’em in your heart is in my Amazon cart! I have been holding off since I just bought Seeds of Courage and Hidden in my heart. So far, I am surprised I like Hidden in my heart better than Seeds. I can’t wait to get Hide ’em too!
