Did you know that salsa has its own food group there?
We met and married in the Lonestar State, and the first few times Mr. Native Texan traveled north with me, he was quite sad to discover that not all restaurants bring out complimentary chips and salsa while you wait for your food.
Fast forward to our Strange, New Dietary Journey. Imagine me breaking the news to Mr. Native Texan that not only were his favorite brands of salsa NOT gluten-free, I was having trouble finding ANY salsa that met our new gluten-free, sugar-free requirements. I did manage to locate two different salsas that fit the bill, but they tasted terrible. 🙁
